BikeVentura has hosted free bike valet at more events this year than ever, and Channel Islands Bike Club (CIBike) took notice. CIBike members volunteering at the Surf Rodeo in July saw that it was successful (we parked 200 bikes that weekend) but our DIY setup needed a little sprucing up. CIBike Grants Coordinator Bill Faulkner asked us to “make a list” for what we thought we needed, and then asked us to add what we wanted. We co-branded the materials, and CIBike generously wrote a check. Now, next time you park your bike with us (always free!) you’ll see us looking good. If there’s a CIBike volunteer there, thank them for us!
