Some Fillmore kids got a special surprise on Saturday – a new bike from the Fillmore Bike HUB. We helped 12 kids get bikes, and the families were filled with gratitude. Jaime Ambriz couldn’t have been more pleased, “when all the kids got their bikes, you could see them just smiling and…”he said, and his look of wonder as he trailed off said the rest. Thanks Jaime and to all of you who donated bikes to the HUB in Fillmore and Ventura, you’re a part of making the holidays special for these kids (and volunteers) too!
Our attention now turns to helping those that lost everything in the Thomas Fire – if you have an old bike to donate, consider bringing it to the HUB as another way to help with Fire relief: we’ll be organizing more bikes to give to families, and 10% of bike sales in December and January will go directly to The United Way of Ventura County’s Fire Relief Fund.
