BikeVentura and the Ventura Bike HUB are OPEN, but with some adjustments.
As an organization, BikeVentura and the Ventura Bike HUB
- are committed to paying and protecting our employees
- believe bikes are a necessary service to provide transportation and mental health
- are an essential community partner enabling provide safe, healthy, equitable transportation
- require your support to keep rolling, but support may look different- donations, bike purchases, repairs, membership
We can only do this as long as people respect our space and each other:
- We are “open” normal hours, but no one is allowed inside the shop without an appointment and all interactions require a 6 foot buffer
- Repairs are conducted 1 on 1 by appointment. Please call the shop (805)641-2665. Prioritization is for those dependent on bikes for transportation and limited income
- Bike sales by appointment viewed by Instagram @ theHUBchopshop or Craigslist
- You can also drop in and we’ll bring bikes to the door 1 by 1
- Parts are available. We can bring the bins to the door with a 6 foot buffer
- We have a sanitation station and we will sanitize things before and after being handled. We have disposable gloves for the public. Our staff will wear gloves and masks
- We ask that people who have had symptoms within the last week or coughing or sneezing do not visit
We are asking that people respect this and use our services respectfully to protect us and the community
We miss everyone and hope that we can work together in our community space soon! (it’s our favorite part)
